Indian music form is a unique type of music from India, which has its origin in India. One form of it is known as Carnatic music as it incorporates the Carnatic tradition of music within its beats. Indian classical music is also the refined folk music of the Indian subcontinent. It has now two major musical traditions: the North Indian traditional music tradition is known as Hindustani, and the South Indian version is known as Carnatic. A significant aspect of Carnatic music form is the intricate weaving of rhythms and harmony, along with the use of musical forms, instruments and synthetic tones and harmonies to produce an exceptional blend of sound.
There are a number of Carnatic music groups that have emerged in the last few years. Most prominent amongst them is from Chennai whose concerts are extremely successful, the group from Andhra Pradesh, the group from Karnataka an d from Kerala are also prominent. There are Several organizations in Metros like Mumbai, New Delhi etc However Chennai is called the Capital of Carnatic Music as there are lot of groups called “GAANA SABHAS” across the length and breadth of South India. It has a great patronage of connoisseurs.
