This dish is prepared using a variety of rice products that are popular all over the country. First you will need to gather all the ingredients that are needed for the preparation of this delicious South Indian breakfast. A large sieve is used for the purpose. Then you mix together all the ingredients that you will use for the preparation of this delectable dish like, ripe rice, clarified butter, pieces of sugar, cardamom seeds, cloves and fried onions or garlic. It is then blended using a mesh strainer into a cup and then placed in the fridge to cool. It will be kept for about two days to ensure that all the flavors are properly incorporated into the rice making sure that you end up with a tasty and nutritious breakfast.
You can prepare this dish using a variety of cooking methods. If you would like to make the dish fluffy and rich, then you can add some milk and some grated coconut. Alternatively, you can also add chopped fried onions or garlic and fried green gram dal. If you are looking to have a thicker consistency in the dish, then you can add copious amounts of clarified butter.
