What are the meaning and scope of Indian Philosophy as related to a balanced approach to subject, as it relates to the origin unmindful of criticism? In other words we must ask ourselves what is the metaphysical root of Indian Philosophy, its relationship to being spiritual, its relation to metaphysics. And this is relevant to Asian Philosophy as well, but I have my own thoughts and ideas on this matter, but it is up to you how deep into this philosophy you want to go. For my part, and for all philosophers in all philosophical traditions, metaphysics is just a part of everything. It is only one aspect of all things.
All things begin with a single seed, nothing exist before that. And each thing including us, are inseparable from the other. So, our being is as essential to the existent thing, which in turn is as essential to our being. If the existent thing is not existent, it does not have a soul, it cannot be our soul.
Now, this is a simple example, but the metaphysics behind all other things is much deeper. We all know that there are countless things existing simultaneously. And if you take away from that the essence of all being, which is our soul, then it becomes simpler. Meaning and scope of Indian Philosophy as related to being spiritual, therefore are very deep indeed.
If we take a stick and break it into two parts, the first part will always come back to itself. It cannot be changed. It has a very basic root. The second part however will never come back to its original form. You will notice this when you try to change anything into anything else, even water into oil, without changing the seed that lies within it. And that’s the meaning of metaphysics in a very literal sense.
But this is the meaning according to quantum mechanics. Quantum physics is the study of matter in the sub-atomic level, and in the sub-atomic level you can only find things that are in a state of zero energy, which is nothingness. And as for the root of all being, it cannot be located at a definite place or location. The only place where it can be found is at the quantum vacuum’s edge.
It cannot be measured in any way, as it exists infinitely. All concepts of time, space, matter and human beings are mere tools used by scientists to depict this phenomena on a macro scale. Hence the meaning and scope of life are not concrete, because they do not have a definite place or area. And this is also what happens in the human domain. We cannot measure the dimensions of our life, the dimension of existence itself. We are all spirits of change, bound to infinite dimensions of possibility.
And when you study the concept of the meaning and scope of life, you discover that there are multiple ways of looking at life and not a single one. Each has its own significance, each has its own meaning and scope. You see it this way – the concept of the meaning and scope of life can be divided into two: the physical meaning and the spiritual meaning. Physical meaning refers to what happens on the physical plane of existence, spiritual meaning comes from a higher dimension, one that we have been exploring since time immemorial.
The meaning and scope of life then are as many as the numbers of stars in the sky. In other words, it is just as insignificant as the dots in the map. So, it does not have a definite area of its own, except that it points to the direction of an end. We all have a certain amount of control over the direction our lives take, and how far they take us. This is part of the mystery of life, the infinity of control.
