Astrology Symbols – A Quick Overview of How They Are Used Today

In Western astrology, astrological signs are basically the 12 30 degree horizontal lines that constitute the 360 degree orbit of the Earth around the Sun. The signs list from the first full day of Spring, also called the First Point of Aries, to the last Sunday of the month of October, called the Last Point of Gemini in the Western hemisphere. Both these points represent the exact moment of birth for every person born in the year. However, there is more to a star than a simple point on a chart!

Astrology is an application of the science of astronomy to determine the placement of celestial bodies in the sky. The most basic theories of astrology revolve around the position and orientation of the planets, stars, and comets relative to the position of the Sun, the Moon, and the other natural satellites of the earth. This is known as stellar astrology and it was first applied to determine the seasons of the earth. There are two broad schools of astrology: Western astrology and Eastern astrology. Although there are some similarities between Eastern and Western astrology, there are also noticeable differences.

One can examine astrology zodiac signs and personality types to see if there is a link between the two. Most experts agree that personality is indeed a major factor in determining one’s individual astrological sign. It was Jung who made this connection, after studying the effect that our personality has on the energy field that surrounds our physical body. Our soul, according to Jung, resides in the infinite consciousness that experiences the physical world through our physical senses. Therefore, we can see how astrological traits have a direct bearing on our overall personality structure.

Carl Jung was a pioneer in the study of astrology and he came to the conclusion that each individual possesses a unique personal astrology zodiac sign. This system of nature consists of 12 zodiac signs, each associated with an element, a season, and a time of the day. The human personality is influenced by the predominant sign in which an individual has been born. The primary astrology signs are Aries (the ram), Taurus (the bull), Gemini (the twins), Cancer (the crab), Leo (the lion), Virgo (the virgin), Libra (the scales), Scorpio (the scorpion), Sagittarius (the archer), Capricorn (the goat), Aquarius (the water-bearer), Pisces (the fishes).

When you examine the astrology zodiac signs, you will see that they have characteristics that are strongly affected by your dominant personality traits. These personality traits are usually opposite in nature from one another, making it difficult to determine where one starts and another ends. However, there are certain exceptions to this rule, and you may find yourself being drawn to a star sign that does not seem like you belong to that particular element. For example, Aries people tend to be leaders and are great problem solvers. Aries men have a reputation for being sensitive and emotional at the drop of a hat, but they can be very captivating and intriguing as well.

The science of Vedic Astrology traces its roots back to ancient India. It has been claimed that there is an ancient secret society that uses these constellations in calculations to create the structure of the universe. Vedic Astrology makes use of the stars to create a map of the soul and by understanding the relationship between the individual’s five elements (air, earth, fire, water and wood) as well as their rulers, it is possible to find a person’s personality traits.

In modern times, astrology can be traced back to the great French mathematician, Father Hauschka. He believed that his method of mapping the human soul could be used by anyone in order to create a unique personality. In addition to creating ASTROLOGY charts for himself, he also created the zodiac symbols for each of his eight signs. Hauschka did not believe that he was providing a scientific method, but rather an intuitive way to understand and interpret the different characteristics of his individual zodiac signs. Although he received a great deal of criticism from his fellow scientists, he proceeded with his studies, and within a few years, he was able to give a complete and detailed description of the stars. Though there are several problems with his original theory, especially as regards the relationships between the stars and our own solar system, modern astrology continues to evolve.

ASTROLOGY originated from a time when navigation and maps were invented, leading to the idea of mapping the path of the sun across the sky. When this first became popular, the zodiac symbols of the four elements were derived from this. Over the centuries, astrology has been used as a way of knowing one’s position in relation to the constellations, and eventually to the stars. Though there is some debate as to how accurate these charts are modern astrology has continued to grow in popularity, and many people have found it useful as a tool to understand their lives and position in the world around them. Though not nearly as popular as today’s astronomy, astrology can still be found in some schools and is used in some cultures as a source of knowledge as well.
