New Fairy Tale Books for Christmas 2021

If you’re interested in the best Christian books for children, I’ve written a number of those which can be found at my web site. My favorite books – both the old favorites and the new favorites – are: “The Baby Book of Imagination” by Margret Wise Brown (forthcoming) and “God’s Little Acre” by Lisa Patricelli (forthcoming). In addition to those two books, there are many other titles that I encourage you to check out. Many of these Christian books were previously published as collections of short stories or essays. And I share these stories here, along with my personal favorites, so you can experience the joy of childhood at its best.

“The Baby Book of Imagination” by Margret Wise Brown (forthcoming) is a fun book with lots of colorful characters. It will astound and delight the smallest readers. There is a leprechaun who goes to an island to retrieve a lost baby, and here, he meets a trio of baby-carvers, who give him many unusual tips and ideas on how to decorate his new home. This book will certainly be enjoyed by a child and an adult.

“God’s Little Acre” by Lisa Patricelli (forthcoming) is another story about a young girl’s search for the perfect homestead. In this book, she meets several interesting people who help her with her plans. These include a spider who provide her with wisdom, and a lion who teach her many lessons including not everything is a sin. The illustrations in this book are lively and beautiful. It will delight and teach young children.

“Sweaty Feet” by Kevin Henkes (forthcoming) is a collection of short stories about the author’s dog, Blaire. Blaire is a spoiled and arrogant spoiled brat who loves to taunt the other dogs. This book was previously published as a series of thirty-six ebooks. There are many entertaining stories in this collection, and they all have a quality that keeps the reader amused.

“The Book of Unknown Secrets” by Philip Pullman (forthcoming) tells the story of a boy who must learn about his own identity and what it means to be a real person. It is also full of fantasy and magic, as this is a dream within a dream. Mr. Pullman creates a very unique character in this tale. This one should prove very popular with a young audience.

“The Stars Myopia” by Elizabeth Beverley Bell (forthcoming) is the first book in a series that will tell the story of six generations of twins, born with absolutely no knowledge of their surroundings. It is up to them to find the truth and learn why their world has turned upside down. This one looks intriguingly interesting, and I am expecting great things from the second book. Ms. Bell also does a wonderful job of describing the physical transformations that her characters go through, which is important to my little girl’s learning curve. Her illustrations, while not always superb, do bring the book to life.
