Cloud computing is basically the delivery of various services over the Internet. These services include applications and tools such as data storage, infrastructure, servers, applications, and data. Rather than storing documents on a local hard drive or other local storage device, cloud storage lets you store them on a remote server. This means documents are available anywhere and anytime, and not just at the website or location where the document was stored. These documents can also be easily moved, from one system to another, and viewed on any device.

With the recent boom in the information technology industry, cloud computing has made its way to the forefront. The popularity of this new technology can be traced back to the advent of social media, which required the integration of various computing infrastructures. Cloud computing allows companies and organizations to gain access to information at any time, from any place, by simply connecting to the appropriate infrastructure. By using this technology, businesses can now gain access to vital data, even when they are on the go.

A Cloud Information Service (CIS) is a collection of hardware and software that enables users to access information from anywhere they are. For instance, if a user needs to access data storage services while on the go, then cloud computing provides this service. Cloud-based information management systems provide application developers and IT managers with a generic model for data storage and network connectivity. Google recently announced that they will be using the open source Open Stack to power their infrastructure. The move comes as a surprise to many, given the fact that Google has been working on its own autonomous system for several years. However, there are several reasons why Google made the decision to partner with a well-known company like Cisco. One reason may be the desire to gain access to Cisco’s vast expertise in the networking space. Another reason is that Cisco already has a long standing relationship with Google, especially in the area of searching and indexing the web. In addition to these reasons, other reasons why Google decided to use a cloud computing services provider include the following:

Cloud is a French company that specializes in offering hosted services. They currently offer over five hundred global clients. The hosted services that Cloud offers are aimed at medium to large businesses. Many of the services that Cloud offers are managed through a system called Platform as a Service (PaaS). This means that the hosted services are being offered on top of and instead of relying on the client’s in-house infrastructure, Cloud creates a virtual platform that the client can use to access the server and all the software and tools that it needs to run their applications.

Another reason why Google decided to partner with Cloud was because they believe that the company has a robust framework for building the cloud computing market. Google does not have a traditional infrastructure and so the cloud computing market will continue to expand as the company continues to innovate and invest in this exciting technology. This allows Google to stay ahead of the competition.

Even though Google is not yet open source, it is a smart move to continue to invest in this area. Google’s decision to open source Chrome is one of the reasons why there is so much interest in the cloud computing space. It will be interesting to see what happens in the next few years as Google, Amazon, and others begin to migrate toward open sourced solutions. In the end, it will be up to the organization’s CIO to decide how aggressively they move toward being open source. However, if they choose to be aggressive it will be an easy decision to make.
