Reducing the risk of eye strain is also important in preventing vision loss. Eye strain is caused mainly due to vision-challenged people standing, walking or reading for long periods of time. It can result in eye fatigue, blurred vision, headaches, eye irritation and in worst cases, complete loss of vision. Therefore, people with any of these vision challenges should include leafy vegetables, chocolates and glasses in their diet menu.
Improving your sight can be made easier if you practice relaxation techniques like meditation and yoga. Regular exercise is another good option to keep your sight healthy. Even people who work in front of the computer for eight hours a day need breaks to take care of their eyes. After an intensive day of working, it is advisable to close your eyes for a few minutes and relax your face. When sitting at your workstation, your back should be straight with a pillow under your knees to ensure proper circulation.
