The PYP Key Concept. The PYP is an acronym that many people might come across when first introduced to the concept of Personal Development. I have been asked this question numerous times, most people have no idea what it means. A PYP is a very simple acronym that simply stands for; Perception, Identity, Purpose, Understanding, Expression, Protection and Purpose. The acronym P CTR stands for; Perception, Connections, Context, Connection, Resolution and Purpose.
The PYP acronym should give you a good idea of the PYPI (personality trait key concepts) that your personality comes with and how you can use these key concepts in your daily life activities. Some of the more interesting pyp key concepts are; self, others, understanding, reflection, responsibility, reflection and purpose. I have deliberately omitted some of the more interesting concepts here to make this article a brief overview of the most important ones.
The first one on the list of PYPI is; vertical balance. This refers to how you maintain an equitable balance between your personal and professional lives. In other words, you want to maintain a balance between work life and personal life, although not forgetting the important links between the two. Some of the other PYPI’s for maintaining vertical balance are; inquiry, awareness, openness, authenticity, awareness, focus, goal setting, goal achievement, goal commitment, empathy, confidence, clarity, focus, strength, and trust.
Another one of the important PYPI’s is; concern, interest, and caring. These are considered to be a basic set of values that you have and then build upon in order to support your professional and personal life goals. Some of the other pyp key concepts associated with this concept include; intrinsic motivation, intrinsic enjoyment, and intrinsic motivation from within. One other concept that goes along with concern, interest, and caring is; integrity, openness, authenticity, and responsibility. There are also other aspects of this concept that include; justice, peacefulness, and social competence. In short you can see that all of these concepts go toward creating an environment of support, safety, and success for the whole person.
A key concept of the eighties generation was; personal power. This includes understanding and developing the ability to be assertive, get what you want, manage your time, achieve your goals, and communicate effectively. A third of the PYPI’s for personal power include; personal strategy, marketing, networking, and leadership. Just as important is the concept of; learning and growth. By learning you will become more effective, successful, and efficient in everything you do.
One other key concept that helps to understand the world works is; reflection. Reflection is the process of seeing what you want in life through a critical thinking process. A key concept of reflection is that you create your own reality. You choose your own world and you choose your own reality. This is in contrast to, for example, the world which is determined by what you decide and believe that you want.
Another key concept for understanding the world works is; the Trans disciplinary theme. According to this understanding the strength of a culture or society lies in its ability to unite and accommodate different perspectives. Trans disciplinary themes include; global thinking, ethnic and cultural diversity, and freedom from rigid political categories, or the common cultural patterns that have been dominant for many years.
Finally there are some important key concepts for understanding the world that we live in and how it works. One of the key concepts of the poi is “no cause-and-effect analysis”. The no cause-and-effect analysis is based on the principle of cause and effect but it applies to causation and nothing else. If you apply this principle, you will find that you can easily differentiate between causes that can be quantified and those that cannot. If you can relate between the cause and effect you will then be able to see where the incongruence exists and you will be able to eliminate it, for example, by developing a trans disciplinary themes like the power of reflection.
