Lack of Education – Is it Our Fault?

Lack of Education is said to be the root cause of poverty. Lack of education is an important reason why health care is not available to the vast majority of the people living in developing countries. Without proper education, health care is impossible to provide for the millions of children who suffer from life threatening diseases. Lack of facilities and investment in education sector is also a key reason why education is so important. Effective communication among health practitioners and other concerned parties is the way by which communities can fight against ignorance and disease.

Lack of Education is said to be the largest factor for the poor health conditions and deaths in underdeveloped countries. Lack of Education is reflected in the lower literacy rates and the lack of investment in higher education levels. Lack of Education reduces the number of job opportunities. Thus, if every person had an opportunity to learn the skills for earning a living and improving his standard of living, then poverty and lack of progress in life would automatically reduce. Lack of Health Care is also caused due to lack of Education and proper hygiene.

Inadequate facilities and lack of quality education result in deaths related to preventable diseases and premature death. These deaths are irreversible and could be prevented if adequate investment in quality education and facilities is made available to all the people of the world. This could dramatically improve the standard of living of many countries and reduce the number of deaths related to ailments. Lack of Environment is another important factor in the underdeveloped world. A healthy environment is essential to prevent illnesses and diseases. Lack of Environment reduces the living standards of people and thereby, reduce the quality education levels and living conditions.

Many people who are deprived of an education suffer from poverty. Lack of Education can cause poverty. A poor nation suffers from low income, low infrastructure and low health care. A nation that suffers from poverty suffers from lack of basic needs such as food, water, energy, shelter, education and social security. Lack of Education leads to severe poverty among children. Thus, lack of Education leads to poverty among the elderly too.

Lack of Education may also occur among poor families. It may happen because of a parent without a job. A parent who does not work may be unable to afford child rearing. If both parents work, then the chances of poverty is very remote. In such cases, the children may not suffer from lack of proper nutrition and other problems associated with poverty.

Lack of Education among the poor results in stunted growth and development. Not only does a person become physically retarded, he also becomes unable to make proper use of technology. In order to increase the educational standard of a family, some governments have taken up projects for providing education to the poor through school-charter schools. Not only have poor families were helped out of poverty through these schools, but the society as well has become educated by the educational standards of its people.

If parents do not wish to leave their children in poverty, they should take the step of getting proper education since not all the money in the world is given to the deserving. Not everyone gets proper education since there is so much of it around. However, if you want your kid to have a better life and enjoy better conditions in life, you must ensure that he/she goes to a good school that ensures quality education since quality education promotes a strong economy. The lack of funds may prevent parents from doing this but it should not stop them from doing it since the time that the child comes home with an educational certificate, his/her chances of getting a better job are much higher than those who do not have an education certificate.

Thus, the lack of Education may often seem like a minor issue at first but it becomes much more detrimental if left untreated. Instead of ignoring it and blaming it on the poor, parents should make efforts to ensure that their child gets a proper education as soon as he/she comes of age. With the advent of computers in today’s era, online learning is also becoming a great option that ensures that the child does not fall into the poverty trap.
