THE ADVERSE IMPACT OF INTERNET

The adverse impact of the internet is that it increases the waste of time and energy. It has the potential to destroy relationships and families. Adverse impact of internet addiction is not limited to heavy pornography, gambling and online drug use. Even the most innocent and harmless recreational activities like social networking, shopping, searching for information on the internet, games or chatting can be dangerous if it is not well monitored.

Internet use can negatively impact people in a number of ways. Many times we cannot control or even notice the adverse impact of internet use. For example, I regularly visit sites that have articles about violence and mention of rape, murder and other criminal acts. This type of content tends to attract and entice more people to have the view and behavior described.

In fact, I often find myself browsing sites which encourage gambling, racism and other types of criminal activity. My time is being wasted because I am not aware that the site I am visiting promotes such behavior and views. There are many among us who spend a considerable amount of time using the internet for social interaction and family communication. However, the adverse impact of internet usage on relationships and family can often be overlooked. Many among us tend to consider short term gains and ignore the long term effects.

The time, money and effort that we would have spent in avoiding the content and behavior described above would have been saved. However, many among us tend to forget that the internet can also cause serious negative impact in the form of addiction. This addiction can be difficult to overcome and often leads to serious problems and issues. It has been found that those using the internet for personal purposes like shopping, information seeking, games and chatting tend to lapse into addictive behaviors.

Such individuals generally do not realise that the reason behind their addiction is actually the forward-looking statements that they write every day. When these individuals stop writing such statements, the online environment ceases to have any effect on them. Similarly, those who use the internet for making forward sale agreements often fail to understand that such agreements may cause actual results in the future.

So does this mean that internet usage can cause negative impact in the long run? The only way to answer this question is by looking at the different ways that time and money can be saved. For example, if an individual can save money by not being so “preoccupied” with things like shopping, then they may be able to spend more time learning more about history, mathematics or any other subject that they may find interesting. On the other hand, if an individual can learn more about the past history of certain objects, then it makes sense to use that information when shopping for the twenty-five years ago.

At the end of the day, internet usage can cause negative impact on teens sometimes. The best solution is to limit the amount of time that one uses the internet, or better yet get rid of the internet. However, there are a number of ways in which one can still make the most out of technology while allowing for social interaction. It just takes patience to do so.

One method that has been found to be effective involves the use of prior research. In other words, female college students were asked to perform a prior study with the same questions; then the same questions were asked of males. Surprisingly, it was discovered that males were more likely to correctly answer all three questions. The reason behind this is that male participants were more familiar with the items that were included in the previous study, which allowed them to answer more efficiently and/or accurately than females.

Similarly, in a 2021 study, participants were asked to complete surveys that explored various topics, such as their daily life, romantic relationships and work-related topics. As a part of the survey, participants were asked to indicate their levels of habitual sleep efficiency (a previous study had already shown that sleep quality predicted levels of habitual daytime sleepiness), their views on social media and their views on food. The data showed that those who reported a better social life, a greater sense of connectedness and a greater sense of social responsibility and accountability were also more likely to have higher levels of sleep quality.

Another area that was explored in the studies was the relationship between excessive use of mobile devices and insomnia. It was demonstrated that excessive use of mobile devices could lead to increased risk of insomnia (as indicated in the previous research). However, there was no evidence that excessive use of mobile devices led to more frequent or worse levels of insomnia, only a higher frequency of insomnia (which was not considered to be relevant). In other words, it appears that there may be no harmful effect on insomnia or sleep disturbance caused by excessive use of wireless technology.
