The great American nation is certainly a land of 50 states spanning a wide sweep of North America, from the Pacific to the Gulf. Major American cities are New York, the global finance and media center, and financial capital of Washington, DC. Although the USA does not have a common language, it is an important factor that makes travelling to the USA easy for the common man. English is the mother tongue of nearly all Americans including many who are from Canada. Most US residents live in close proximity to one of the regional post offices hence they can reach the necessary destination easily. The USA has the largest forest mass in the whole world with over two hundred and thirty-seven million acres of forest land. It has four national parks and many of the states have some native American species of trees and grasses. There are several interesting historical sites in the USA like the National Mall, which was built by the government as a memorial for the country after the Second World War. One can go on a hiking tour around the mall to see the memorial and there is an American history museum with a lot of interesting artifacts from the American history.
