What Is An Agnostic Theistic Belief?

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit, provides a definition of agnostics which states, “In general, an agnostic is a personal encounter with the deepest mysteries of life. It is personal in the sense that one makes personal enquiries into God, or into a higher power, in order to understand the nature of life and the cosmos.” Agnostics are often regarded as the minority religion within the world of spirituality. This is because of the fact that there are very few genuinely effective agnostics.

Agnostics do not hold to any particular metaphysics such as pantheism, realism, teleology, or nominalism. They may deny the existence of God altogether, or they may accept God’s existence as being beyond the comprehension of the natural world. However, an agnostic theism believes in the actual existence of God or Gods, however the source or foundation of this belief is unknown or fundamentally unknowable by these individuals. In short, an agnostic views the concept of God as something that can only be known through science, and not through any sort of spiritual experience or intuitive intuition.

As far as its relationship with other major religions, the relationship between the major religions and diagnosis has been complicated. Some theists point out that there are some significant differences between the two. For instance, most fundamental religions include a divine revelation of God for the start of time, while agnostics point to a divine and omnipresent being that created the universe in the beginning. The difference between deism and agnostic theism comes down to the idea that there is a being that knows the truth and acts in our best interests, while deists seem to believe that this being is nothing more than a collection of numbers and letters on the paper.
